Black Country Museum, Dudley

One of our fantastic local attractions, showing life as it was, in the Black Country in the 19th century. What is it historians have about the 19th century?

Some excellent exhibits of buildings, how they were, a real pub, a real church, glass cutters, nail makers, a mine, tramway, cottages, canal tunnel, my favourite is a prefabricated post-war house. There is even a chip shop that serves "proper" chips, cooked in beef dripping in an original 80-year old deep fat fryer. Chips how they should be!

We most recently visited this attraction in August 2009 and it was even better than last time with a new exhibition building showing off locally made cars, Bean, Sunbeam etc.

Also some buses run by an enthusiasts club.
