I visit Erlangen 2 or 3 times each year, the winters are incredibly cold and the summers are Spanish-hot. Most of my visits are in winter, just my luck.

It's not a bad place, fairly clean, buses run exactly on time, loads of eating places, some decent cycling country. Excellent for chilling out on the main street on a kerbside bar.

There are usually quite a few work-friends here as well so social life is always quite entertaining.
