Hot, picturesque, market towns (Limone, Malcesine, Sirmione). The only way around this place was by boat, very expensive but also a pleasant way to travel. We stayed at Limone and travelled around a bit, up the mountain by Malcesine, Monta Baldo (we chose the whimps method and rode the cablecar). The cablecar rotated during its journey so wherever you were in the car you had a good view. I am sure we'll go there again.
