Meriden is the centre of England and it is also the home of the Cyclists' Memorial, in rememberance of all cyclists' who gave their lives in the war. Every May, around the 21st of the month, there is a service on the village green for these cyclists. The CTC organise it and the afternoon is normally lent to Audax or fun rides.
