At first, we thought that this was an expensive day out - £42 entrance fee for a family of four, £3 to park, a few extras inside the place for added attractions, extortionate drinks prices, meals (which weren't too bad). However, at the end of an exhausting and full day at Warwick Castle, we thought it wasn't bad value. Just a bit miffed at having to pay for all the extras.
Owned by The Tussaud Group.
The Waxworks, in the main building were stunning in accuracy and quality, there were two exhibitions, "A Royal Visit 1898" and "Kingmaker" which was a view of a battle campaign in 15 something.
The castle and grounds are in a wonderful condition, the Peacock Gardens and Rose Garden splendid at different times of the year.
The latest addition is a Trebuchet, below which is fired twice daily with some really good entertainment to keep the audience interested.
